How We Work

We are a Canadian non-governmental organization dedicated to strengthening democracy, civic participation, and public trust through a combination of education, investigative storytelling, and community advocacy. Our work is designed to be accessible, non-partisan, and directly relevant to the everyday lives of Canadians.

We use a multi-channel approach—digital media, video, social platforms, and community partnerships—to reach diverse audiences across the country. Our goal is to make civic engagement practical, understandable, and actionable, and to help Canadians participate in democracy with confidence and clarity.

1. Educating Canadians on Civic Systems

We create clear, accessible educational content that explains how Canadian democracy works in practice. This includes:

  • How elections function at federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal levels

  • Roles and responsibilities of elected officials

  • How laws are made, how budgets are decided, and how public services are delivered

  • What citizens can do to influence decision-making beyond voting

  • How to access public information and participate in civic processes

Our educational content is designed to be practical, non-intimidating, and relevant to real life—so people can understand the system and feel empowered to engage.

2. Making Representatives Identifiable and Accountable

One of the biggest barriers to civic participation is not knowing who represents you or what they are responsible for. We address this by:

  • Helping Canadians identify their elected officials at all levels

  • Providing clear, easy-to-use resources and tools for tracking representation

  • Reporting on how representatives communicate with constituents

  • Following up on public commitments and policy promises

  • Highlighting gaps between promises and outcomes in a factual and respectful way

Our work is not about political attacks; it is about transparency, clarity, and accountability.

3. Tracking Promises vs. Outcomes

We maintain a consistent, evidence-based approach to tracking political commitments and measuring results. This includes:

  • Monitoring public statements, platforms, and campaign promises

  • Tracking policy implementation and public outcomes

  • Comparing statements to actual results in the real world

  • Providing clear analysis and summaries that are easy to understand

We believe the public deserves to know whether elected officials are delivering on what they promised—and what impact those actions have on communities.

4. Promoting Critical Thinking Through Media and Satire

We use creative media to spark public conversation and strengthen media literacy. Our weekly satirical video podcast uses AI-generated characters and humorous commentary to:

  • Respond to political and social events in Canada

  • Analyze media coverage and public messaging

  • Encourage critical thinking and respectful debate

  • Help people recognize misinformation, bias, and manipulation

Satire is a tool for engagement, not division. Our goal is to invite people into civic dialogue through humor and curiosity.

5. Supporting People Through Investigative Advocacy

We believe civic engagement includes supporting people who are wronged by systems, institutions, or organizations. Our community advocacy work includes:

  • Listening to challenging stories and identifying systemic issues

  • Conducting investigative research and factual reporting

  • Amplifying voices that are often ignored or marginalized

  • Connecting individuals with resources, legal help, or community support

  • Creating practical pathways to justice through community-driven action

We operate with a “people-helping-people” model, prioritizing genuine need and measurable impact. Our work is rooted in empathy, dignity, and accountability.

6. Bringing It All Together

Our approach blends education, accountability, and empathy. We meet people where they are—online, in communities, and in everyday life—turning awareness into action. We do not tell Canadians what to believe or who to support. Instead, we provide the tools, information, and support needed for informed participation, critical thinking, and community-led justice.
